With over 1000 public parks in the city of New York, couples are sure to find the perfect outdoor location for their elopement. From Manhattan, to the Bronx, to Brooklyn, Staten Island and Queens, most public locations only require a small permit fee to get host an event there. This lovely same sex couple Katherine and Aja contacted our studio seeking an all-inclusive wedding package for their big day and planned to tie the knot at Fort Tryon park in the Inwood section of Manhattan. Our photographers had a great time working with them and their elopement photos came out great! Check it out.
These Brides wanted their big day to be stress free! They planned to tie the knot at a City park, take some romantic portraits and have a celebratory dinner reception with their closest friends and family.
They contacted our studio to help them organize it all. Our all inclusive elopement package includes a legally registered officiant, permit fees for hosting your wedding ceremony in the park, and a photographer (and videographer if needed) All you have to do is get dressed and show up!
We met the ladies at Fort Tryon to get started. While Fort Tryon is not as popular as Central Park for elopements, it is a beautiful alternative for couples who want to avoid the crowds. Situated on 67 acres of land and breathtaking views of the Palisades, it’s considered one of the highest points in Manhattan! There are several gardens to enjoy, including the newly renovated Alpine Garden that a collection of stone staircases that run along the park’s eastern side. It’s also a great park to consider for your engagement shoot!
Katherine and Aja chose the Billings Arcade for their ceremony location because of its 50-foot tall arches and beautiful architecture. Our friend, Rev. Samora of Common Grounds ushered the two Brides into matrimony with a civil ceremony and announced the two married!
After wards our photographer spent some time with the newlyweds for romantic portraits throughout the park. Aja was gorgeous in a white gown with spaghetti straps and intricate beading. We loved her funky short hairstyle! Her Bride looked just as great in a black blazer and checkered slacks (check out those locs!) .
We were honored to be a part of their celebration and wish them a lifetime of happiness!
