Meaning “little house on the crest of a hill” Cop Cot offers a spectacular location for Central Park weddings. The wooden structure, which is actually located at the top of a hill, offers enough space for larger elopements. It even has rustic benches surrounding the ceremony space allowing your guests to sit down. Our packages include the permit for the popular location, which comes in handy when asking curious tourist to clear the space! Our elopement team was honored to help facilitate the big day of Taylor & Brian who were coming all the way from Texas to get hitched. They wanted to exchange vows in Central Park followed by photos at the Top of the Rock. We provided everything the couple needed including the hair and makeup, flowers, photographer and officiant. All they had to do was show up and say I do! Check it out!
Central Park hosts several thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of wedding ceremonies every year. Offering over 840 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, spanning from 110th street all the way down to 59th, the popular park has something for every one! From lakeside nuptials under a pavilion to a secret garden named after one of the most famous poets or our time, you will be sure to find the perfect location for your elopement no matter what you choose. I mean where else in the world can you reserve such a beautiful outdoor ceremony space for only $25 bucks?
Taylor and Brian were planning their Central Park wedding all the way from Texas and were relieved to find out our studio offered all-inclusive options for their elopement. They were expecting around 15-20 of their family members to travel with them to celebrate and wanted to make sure every special detail was taken care of. They booked several of our team members for their big day including our photographer, hair and makeup team (we work with several well-known NYC artist) florist, and officiant to perform the ceremony. Our staff worked closely with the Bride to help her decide on a ceremony location. She and Brian wanted a space that would accommodate her group size and offer a dramatic view (and stunning photos) for their ceremony. We all agreed that Cop Cot was the perfect choice!
Our hair and makeup team started with Taylor at The Hotel Giraffe on Park Avenue South to get her ready. She chose a natural look for her makeup and wanted her hair styled in an up do with waves framing her beautiful face. Her bridal bouquet was also delivered to the hotel and was a beautiful assortment of wild flowers and roses.
Our photographer greeted the groom and guest at Cop Cot to get set up. Everyone looked great including the adorable “flower girl”! The civil ceremony was short and sweet (just the way the couple wanted it) and highlighted a story of how Taylor and Brian met and fell in love.
After being pronounced Husband and Wife, the couple took photos with their family before strolling through Central Park for some alone time! Our photographer captured the newlyweds at several popular Central Park locations like Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge before heading over to Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center for more photos and to enjoy panoramic views of the city.
Our entire team was honored to be a part of this beautiful wedding celebration and wish the couple a lifetime of happiness!
