More often than not an elaborate 200-guest wedding started out as a simple 50-person affair with the couple’s closest family and friends. Due to the urging of parents, family members and well-meaning friends, a once modest guest list can grow into a less manageable soiree! But how do you decide who to invite and whom you can “respectfully” exclude from the invites? Our photographer and elopement team had the honor of capturing this beautiful couple Stephanie and Eric who opted to nix the guests list all together and elope in Central Park. But if you aren’t as lucky as these newlyweds there are a few pointers to keep in mind for keeping your guest list as small as possible. Check it out!
An elopement no longer means a quickie ceremony at City Hall and dinner for two at a local restaurant (although for some couples that’s the perfect wedding day arrangement). The modern day elopement has morphed into a “mini-wedding” of sorts; complete with getting ready photography, a first look, quick ceremony in Central Park, Trolly rides for the happy couple and their guests and an after party at one of NYC’s intimate venues! Take this beautiful summer elopement our team recently had the honor of capturing. Leah & Mathieu exchanged vows at the popular Ladies pavilion before taking a Trolly ride throughout New York City for portraits. They ended the day with a wedding reception at Locanda Verde, a Tribeca based Italian restaurant. Check it out!

Our photography team recently had the honor of sharing in the post wedding day brunch of Ashlee & Brian at this unique location. New Yorkers are some of the most interesting people in the world. Our great city has been home to celebrities, dignitaries and even Presidents! Some have come here and stayed while others visited for a short time before moving on. One of our recent couples, Fiona and Jonathon, spent only 8 months here but were so moved by the culture and beauty of NYC that they returned many years later (with their two kids in tow) to become husband and wife! They wanted a practical and affordable option for their wedding and chose Le Image to help them make it happen! Our all inclusive elopement package was the perfect solution for this globetrotting family of four and we are so honored to have been a part of their love story!
It takes a lot to shock a true New Yorker. We have seen it all; Naked Cowboys playing guitar; break-dancers on the subway swinging from the poles while soliciting you for change and even homeless preachers warning you about the looming apocalypse! So a bride in a strapless wedding gown and fully suited groom smooching in the middle of Times Square can easily go unnoticed; and that’s exactly what Tara & Ronan wanted! They came all the way to NYC from Ireland for an intimate destination wedding with their closest family and friends. They wanted to immerse themselves in the New York culture and capture amazing photos in the process. Our photographers were happy to show them the ropes and the crowd didn’t seem to mind (or notice) either.
Taking advantage of all that an NYC destination wedding has to offer, Fay & Marv traveled all the way from The United Kingdom for an intimate elopement and honeymoon in one! They found our studio online after searching for NYC elopement photographers (thanks Google!) and booked their package directly through our site! (A convenient option for international couples). They wanted their big day to be intimate (it was just the two of them traveling here) and stress free. The stubborn winter we’ve been experiencing actually provided a very romantic (and snowy) backdrop for their rooftop ceremony at the Nomad Hotel (they have a rooftop suite with views to die for!) The cute couple sealed their union with a champagne toast before heading out for a night on the town to celebrate! Our photographers were honored to be a part of it all.
In the city that never sleeps there are endless choices available when it comes to choosing a wedding venue. Never mind the thousands of options for wedding professionals, flowers, dresses and invitations, it’s no wonder more and more couples are choosing to escape the “wedding planning mania” and elope at City Hall. Elopements aren’t what they use to be (secret getaways to Vegas anyone?). Now couples can involve up to 30 of their friends and family in the ceremony, ax the pricey limo rental and take a quick train ride to Brooklyn Bridge/City Hall and even have an awesome after party at a local restaurant to celebrate! Our photographers love capturing these less traditional weddings! Check out these creative and practical NYC City Hall Elopements…
This cute couple thought of everything for their NYC Central Park Elopement. From the detailed map of central park for their guests, to the reserved Pedicabs on standby to whisk them between locations for photos! Who said choosing to elope meant cutting corners? They had a full wedding party, amazing photographers (yes that was a cheap plug!) and a fun reception afterwards. We had a blast sharing in their day.
Every month is wedding season in New York City. Whether it’s an elaborate 300- guest spring wedding at The Edison Ballroom or an intimate 2-person winter elopement in Central Park, you will be sure to hear wedding bells no matter where you go! Our photographers have seen it all! Brides on roller blades (makes for an easy commute to the ceremony location), cocker spaniels in bow ties serving as ring bearers and even Star Wars themed wedding party (complete with lightsabers!) Each love story is unique and there is no right or wrong way to get married, it’s all about what’s special to you as a couple. We recently had the honor of shooting Kerry & Alex who chose the infamous Central Park for their fall elopement and traveled around the city to celebrate their union.
Central Park is a summer time favorite for New Yorkers and tourist alike. From roller skating to concerts and horse carriage rides, there is always something to see. This past summer Jenne & Joe’s Shakespeare Garden elopement stole the show and our awesome photographers were there to capture it all!
As New Yorkers, we often forget just how magical our city is! Our Photographers saw our city in a whole new light as they shot the elopement of this sophisticated couple, Cassie & Harry. They stayed at the luxurious Madison avenue Roger Hotel and the marble columns and red carpeted entrance made for some gorgeous photos of the two. Cassie was so cute in her white cocktail bridal dress and her handsome groom, Harry, was just as stylish. The two held hands and posed for portraits after their Central Park elopement.
Spring has sprung and Katrina and Tania couldn’t have been happier. They exchanged vows in the iconic and beautiful Central Park under a wooden arch. Followed by romantic wedding day portraits, the blooming trees of the park made their photos beautiful. This same sex New York City elopement proves that a less traditional wedding can be just as romantic!
Eci & Ali traveled many miles from their native homeland, Turkey, to become husband and wife in our great city. Our photographers were honored to share in the elopement of this stylish couple. We started shooting Eci’s getting ready photos at the NoMad Hotel on Broadway and after their first look the couple made their way to Toshi’s living room and penthouse for a rooftop ceremony and reception.
Once again our photographers headed to the elopement capital of NYC, Central Park, to shoot the ceremony of David & Sanna. Turtle pond was the chosen location for this summer wedding and offered onlookers in their rowboats a great view! Sanna was beautiful in her ivory lace wedding dress and wore her hair swept to the side. Her groom was just as stylish in a navy blue suit and lavender tie, that blended in perfectly with the blooming flowers of Central Park.
They met on a Caribbean vacation in Dominican Republic and have been inseparable ever since. We had the honor of providing both photography and video for Raquel and Gregory’s Central Park elopement this past spring. After they marry Raquel will be leaving the states to join her new husband in Belgium; talk about international love! They both wanted to incorporate the great sites of New York City in their wedding photos and did just that traveling from 5th avenue to Times Square to Brooklyn Bridge Park. Their elopement video included well wishes in her native Spanish language from Raquel’s family. Their “amor” is sure to last a lifetime!
Angela & Jeff brought their family and friends all the way from Australia to share in their New York City elopement. They became husband and wife on the infamous Bow Bridge in Central Park. Our photographers loved their style as Jeff and his “best man” donned red bow ties and sneakers. Angela was stunning in her ivory form fitting dress with complimented with pearls. The weather was beautiful for this summer wedding and everyone had a blast posing for photos throughout the park.
New York City is still one of the top destination wedding spots in the world! Our photographers (many NY transplants themselves) always enjoy meeting and shooting our visitors! Cara & Jason chose to become husband and wife atop the popular Rockefeller Center, known to the locals as “Top of the Rock”. Afterwards they posed for portraits in the iconic Central Park and were even serenaded by a sax player! We were honored to be their tour guide!
