If you are looking for a wedding venue that offers personalized service and breathtaking views with indoor and outdoor ceremony options, then Giando on the Water is the perfect choice! Our photography and video team love shooting at this family-owned restaurant and our couples and their guests always have a blast! We recently had the honor of capturing the beautiful spring wedding of Alexa & James who booked our photography package to capture every special moment of their big day. Check it out!
You’d be hard pressed to find another Brooklyn based venue with views like Giando on the Water. Not only does the restaurant/venue have an outdoor patio with unobstructed views of the Manhattan Skyline, Giando’s indoor dining room boosts floor to ceiling windows offering your wedding guests an unforgettable experience! Alexa and James choose the Williamsburg location to host their wedding day and the photos came out perfect!
The couple contacted our studio seeking a 2-photographer package for their spring wedding. They planned to get ready separately and have their first look in Gantry Plaza State Park before their outdoor ceremony at Giando. We started with the Groom as he got ready at his apartment in Long Island City. James and his groomsmen hung out on the rooftop for a few fun photos and even had time to shoot a few rounds of pool. The happy groom wore a dark blue suit with a fresh floral boutonniere, gold cuff links and his lucky pocket watch. Alexa got ready on the other side of town and was stunning in a strapless white gown with pearl necklace and earrings.
Gantry Plaza State Park is a popular 12-acre park on the East River. The park offers great views of the Manhattan skyline and is a great option for wedding photos and engagement sessions.
After capturing some romantic portraits of the future newlyweds, the wedding party got in on the fun. The bridesmaids and groomsmen swapped accessories ad posed for fun photos on the water. (Who knew a groomsmen holding a bouquet would be so cute!)
As the guests arrived at Giando, Alexa and her girls freshened up while James took care of a few last minute details with the priests. One of the many benefits to booking 2 photographers for your wedding day is the added coverage and additional angles the team can capture like the rooftop view of the ceremony, simply stunning!
The bride and groom exchanged vows before their friends and family and were pronounced husband and wife as the sunset. After wards everyone headed inside for cocktails. Each table in the reception room was decorated with personalized beer bottles and floating candles. Giando provided the escort cards and beautiful 3-tier wedding cake. The reception kicked off the newlyweds first dance and speeches from the maid of honor and best man.
Everyone had a great time celebrating with the happy couple and the party went well into the night. We were honored to be a part of another Giando on the Water celebration!
